Giant wired-coat dogs need specialist handling and significant time to hand strip well. This technique — removing dead outer coat by hand rather than with clippers — is the only way to properly maintain the natural texture, colour and weather-resistance of a true wire coat in large breeds.

We work unhurriedly, discuss the coat condition and what's achievable with you before starting, and always prioritise your dog's comfort throughout. For dogs new to hand stripping, we may recommend starting with a partial strip and building from there.
